Historical stuff: I started
working when I was 16, as a dishwasher in a restaurant.
In the many years since then (in random
order), I've been a carpenter, a plumber, an electrician, a
cable lineman, a halfway house counselor, a computer systems
engineer, a teacher, a nightclub manager, a bartender, bouncer,
and DJ, a bank courier, and so many other things I can't
remember them all.
However, through it all, I was always an entrepreneur.
I was ten years old when my mother introduced me to
wholesale and retail. I sold wholesale holiday gifts to the
neighbor ladies for Christmas money. Ever since then, I've been
uncomfortable working for anyone else, hence the long string
different jobs and careers. My businesses throughout
the years made me money; my jobs were simply something I felt I
should have but hated
showing up for.
My longest lasting and most successful
(financially) ventures have been online. I started out online 18
years ago, and now own several businesses,
including the most successful Product Sourcing information
company online, Worldwide Brands, Inc.
General / Current stuff: I
have 3 kids and 4 grandkids, even though I don't think I'm
nearly old enough for that! I am of course a businessman. I've
been an amateur musician and singer for 39 years, playing
guitar, keyboard, bass, mandolin, banjo, some percussion, and
whatever other instruments I see fit to work at. If you listen
to my EBiz Tunes on this site, that's
all me. I write the tunes, and I don't use any
computer-generated stuff; I play all the instruments live and do
all the vocals, such as they are. :o).
I'm building an Equestrian Center on a large piece of property I
bought recently, because my daughter rides horses in competition
and loves it so much that I wanted her to have a showground near
home. The fact that I can afford to do that is a benefit of
having succeeded so well online. I put on a scruffy pair of
shorts and an old T-shirt, get out in the dirt and and do the
work myself, because it's a pressure-release valve for me. I'm
also working on a private-label manufacturing business, and I've
started a general Media production business.
I still live in the same house I bought just before my online
business became successful, because I don't like pretentious
people and I refuse to become pretentious. I don't think a big
mansion means anything more than a big hassle, seeing as how my
fairly average-sized house is hassle enough.
I got my first Harley when I was 14; a 125cc Harley Rapido trail
bike. Got my first big road Harley when I was 16. Been riding
ever since, for a total of 34 years. Spent most of my 'formative
years' with "independent" bikers (I was never in a gang or a
club). Most people look down on those of us who love to throw on
our leathers and get in the wind, and I think that's a mistake.
The Bikers I know would give you the shirt off their backs if
you were in trouble, and always respect other people.
I don't lie. I don't cheat. I don't steal. Period, period,
period. My parents taught me that, and I will never disrespect
their memory for any amount of gain. I'm lucky enough to work
with people in my business who have the same values, and that's
a big thing in my life.
So, that's "Who Is Chris Malta; The Short Personal Version".
People say that in business, it's not what you know, it's who
you know. I don't agree. I think it's who you choose to be that
matters, and I think the right choice is to simply be honest,
and be yourself. Seems to be working for me so far, anyway.

I'll give you the basic list
of who I am and what I do online and in business. You'll find a
ton of pages about me on the Search Engines if you're curious
enough to go look . :o) You can find out a LOT more about my
business bio, along with lots of my free EBiz Articles and
EBooks at the web site of one of my businesses,
WorldwideBrands.com
- Founder, CEO, and Chairman of the
Board of Worldwide Brands. Inc. I started out online in
1993, selling info products on the old Newsgroups using Prodigy.
In the mid-90's, I started a couple of online stores. I
noticed scam after scam after scam while looking for real
wholesalers of products to sell.
I wrote an article about this problem that
got picked up by Web Pro News, telling people what the problem
was and how to find genuine wholesale suppliers on their own,
which I knew how to do from many years of experience in the
wholesale industry. The article got an avalanche of email from
people who wanted my source, but I couldn't just give them away
because I'd spent months researching them.
So, I started an online directory of genuine
wholesalers. That turned into Worldwide Brands, and took off
from there. As I've said on this site, that company is the most
highly respected provider of wholesale information and education
for small EBiz in the world, because I never lie and never
cheat.
- Product Sourcing Editor for eBay
Radio. For several years now, I've been eBay Radio's
Product Sourcing Editor. I do live on-air segments for them,
talking about finding real wholesalers that work with online
EBiz owners.
- eBay Certified Solution Provider.
My Product Sourcing company, Worldwide Brands, is an eBay
Certified Solutions Provider. You don't just pull something like
that out of a Crackerjacks box. There are only a small number of
companies in the world who are eBay Certified Providers. eBay is
VERY careful about who they let in through that door, and they
only accept the best. There is no other company in the world
that does what we do, that is a Certified Solutions Provider for
eBay. We're the only one.
- EBiz Radio Show Host. For
several years, my business partner and I hosted 'The
Entrepreneur Magazine EBiz Radio Show' for world-famous
Entrepreneur Magazine. We also hosted 'The Product Sourcing
Radio Show' for years. We're in the process of changing all that
over to Podcasts, but you can listen to some great free shows
with world-class expert guests here.
- Successful EBiz Author.
I've written several Free EBooks about online business, and have
also been published by McGraw-Hill, and by many of the biggest
online EZines. My most popular Free EBook has been read by more
than a million and half people.
- Business Owner. Something
you'll learn from me if you hang around these pages is that once
you start to make money in business, you never sit still.
Diversification is very important, and you're going to be
surprised at how quickly that can happen. One minute you have
your first business taking off, and the next you own four
businesses (like I do) and sometimes you're not even sure how
that happened. I've made millions in business, and it's all
based on 35 years of widely varied experiences in business.
I can help you do the same.
- I have lots of other biz
qualifications that I could list here, but I don't want
to risk you're drifting off to sleep out of sheer boredom. If
you're not convinced that I know what I'm talking about, that's
okay. You'll learn if you check me out online, and look at all
the free material this site offers. If you have questions, you
can
email me here, or call me toll-free at 1-888-8ChrisM.
